Correcting mistakes

On Finance → Bank, open the account and Imports and duplicates below its statement. Undo import removes everything one upload added, as long as none of its lines has been matched yet. Possible duplicates lists lines with the same date and amount that came in separately, for example from the bank feed and a CSV, so you can delete the extra one.

A single uploaded or manual line can be deleted with its bin icon while it isn't matched to anything. Lines from the bank feed stay: the next sync would bring them back.

A draft invoice was never sent, so it can be deleted. A sent invoice is cancelled instead: it stays on record, marked cancelled, and nobody is chased for it.

A cash, bank transfer or standing order payment recorded by mistake can be deleted while it isn't reconciled to the bank, in a Gift Aid claim or refunded; any invoice it paid goes back to unpaid. Card and Direct Debit payments come from the payment provider, so they're refunded, not deleted. A refund recorded by hand can be deleted too.

A manual bank account can be deleted, with its statement lines, once none of them is matched to anything. A budget is a plan rather than a financial record, so it can simply be deleted.

A section budget is the same. An event budget closed too early can be reopened, which takes its surplus or deficit back out of the section's pot, and Adjust balance corrects the pot by hand. See Sectional budgets.
