How-to guide
Waiting list on the Group website
The waiting list form is for a Group site. Put [scoutsuite_waitlist] on a page. Parents fill it in there; Scout Suite is the queue leaders work from. Do not put this form on a District homepage and expect it to pick a Group.
Watch this on its own pageInstall the Scout Suite plugin
Get the free plugin from GitHub and activate Scout Suite on the Group WordPress site. See Installing the WordPress plugin.
Point the form at a Group
On WordPress, Settings → Scout Suite. Org ID can be the District if you also sync Find a Group. Waiting list Group ID must be the Group the form should join: the same id you see in `/groups/{id}/waiting-list`.
Put the form on a page
Add `[scoutsuite_waitlist]` or the Scout Suite Waiting List block to a page such as Join the waiting list. The form inherits the theme you already use.
Parents submit; leaders see the queue
A parent enters the child's name, date of birth, section, and their own contact details, then ticks consent. After submit, the child is on Waiting list in Scout Suite for that Group, ready to offer a place, without anyone retyping the form.
