How-to guide

Recording a meeting

Create the meeting, get the audio in, and the write-up follows. There's no extra "generate minutes" button — that's the point of putting the recording here.

  1. Create the meeting

On Meetings, Create. Give it a Title, choose In person or Online, and optionally a date. You can drop an audio file on the dialog now, or add it from the meeting page afterwards.

  2. Add the recording

On the meeting, Add recording. Choose file starts the upload as soon as you pick one. Or Record live: Start recording, Stop, then Upload recording — the browser clip isn't sent until that last click. WebM, MP3, WAV, OGG or M4A, up to 200MB.

  3. Transcript, summary and minutes arrive on their own

While it's working you'll see Uploading and transcribing… This may take a minute, and the list can show recordings as processing. When it's ready, expand the recording for Summary, Minutes and Transcript. Identify speakers / Save speaker labels if you want names on the transcript. Sign off minutes when the group is happy with them.

There's no in-app prompt asking attendees whether they consent to being recorded — that's still a conversation for the room (the browser will ask for the microphone).

The same Meetings area exists for groups, districts and counties / areas / regions.
