Packing for camp

Weigh equipment once when you add it, then let Scout Suite add the weight up per container the moment it's checked out for camp — no more guessing what the trailer weighs.

Weigh it once, on the same form
Weight per item (kg) is an optional field on the same form you already use to add anything to the Equipment inventory — no separate spreadsheet, and no extra step for items you don't need to weigh.
Adding the item itself, tags, and scanning are covered in Tracking equipment — weight just piggybacks on that same form.
Tag each item with a container at checkout
Checking equipment out works the same as any other loan, but each item picked can be tagged with a Container — Trailer, Minibus, whatever's actually true for that camp.
See the running total before it's loaded
Scout Suite adds up Weight by container live as items are added to the checkout, plus an overall total once more than one container's in use — so you know what the trailer actually weighs before anyone starts loading it, not after.
